About this month's theme:

The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. goes beyond a dream: it’s a comprehensive framework for a life of justice rooted in the principles of nonviolence. This month in Freedom School, we’ll journey through the life of Dr. King and reflect on his messages of love through action. The resources include many ways to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, like an illustrated timeline of King’s life, a starter guide to the Six Principles of Nonviolence, a bingo tracker with tons of activities to keep King’s dream alive, interactive games, a coloring page, and more.

Top Notch!

These resources are so well-cultivated and beautifully designed. For our middle school Advisory lessons this month, we used the Principles of Nonviolence document, the MLK Quote game, and the Timeline. They were all were perfect for our honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. and his role as a changemaker. Thank you SO much for these top notch resources each month!

Freedom School Resources

Oh Happy Dani uses her amazing art, creativity and way with words to help bring her research to life for students young and old. As we continue to battle the historical erasure of Black contributions, creativity, resistance, joy, oppression, community, struggle, faith and beauty, Freedom School tells us the stories we all need to remember. Every month I feel a little lift when I read through the packet. I use it for me, for my children, and even with my college students. Brandi

I am a teacher and I love it!

I love tue design and the message. As an educator and a self-described lifelong learner, this is exactly what I try to communicate to my young teenage students.
